These new scholars are a tremendous instance of the future of America. They are our future personnel. And, they are also why we cannot remain satisfied when we talk about higher education.

As a father, like all fathers across the country, they want the best for their kids too. They want to see a wealth of chances available to their children who, they hope, will be life-long learners in their own right. They want to make sure their son and daughter will find the right path to higher education learning that sets them up for achievement in all parts of their lives.

At this point, though, the United States higher education system seems like a tale of two cities. It is still the crown jewel of our latest education system – a pompous tradition of world class innovation and research. Yet, that similar system faces a growing number of challenges: How do we build education more reasonable so students are not graduating with a heap of debt? How do we craft it more reachable, offering more people the training and education they need? How do we ensure our education ecosystem is more alert on impacting or measuring meaningful outcomes for all our students?

The present environment is ready for further embracing technology and breaking through to fresh, impactful models.
